Dulles CAREs

Dulles has a successful school-wide positive behavior program that increases academic performance, improves safety, and establishes a positive school environment.  Introducing, modeling, and reinforcing positive social behavior is an important step of a student's educational experience.  We have adopted the key word C.A.R.E. as the foundation for this program at Dulles:

  • C - Care About Safety
  • A - Achieve Your Best
  • R - Respect Yourself and Others
  • E - Embrace Responsibility

When students are caught C.A.R.E.ing, they receive a reward slip from a Dulles staff member.  The reward slips are put in a raffle box in the office.  Every month a raffle is held and winning students receive rewards for displaying positive behavior on campus and in the classroom!

PlayWorks

PlayWorks, a nationwide program, provides playground coaches for our campus who create a safe, exciting and welcoming culture where all students are involved in organized games at recess and lunch.  On our playground, our students will feel safe and included; a part of the action - where everyone belongs, has fun and is part of the game!

Music & Art

Every student at Dulles enjoys quality music instruction - from Junior and Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade.  We showcase their talents and hard work at performances throughout the school year!

Dulles has partnered with Meet the Masters.  This renowned art program has earned top awards nationwide for art education.  Dulles PTA is sponsoring Meet the Masters which provides interactive assemblies and an art teacher who will instruct every student each month!

Field Trips

All students enjoy a field trip each year at Dulles - from Junior and Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade.  These field trips are aligned with the Common Core State Standards and extend student learning beyond the classroom with hands-on and interactive experiences in their community.
