Greetings from Dulles Elementary School!
Dulles Elementary School provides many quality learning opportunities for our children both academically and socially. We are all very proud to be a part of this outstanding school community.
Children are the main focus of our academic program. We care about children and believe that all children must have the opportunity to receive a well designed, rigorous curriculum based on the State of California Content Standards. Our teachers are committed to working diligently to ensure the academic success of all our children. Our goal is that every child achieves proficiency in English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, the Arts and Physical Education. We also foster an environment where students develop the ability to think and make decisions, develop self-esteem and concern for others, and are encouraged to be excited about their own learning. Our goal is for all of our children to become well-educated, thinking, caring citizens who can be successful in a rapidly changing world.
We welcome the addition of our Sixth Grade Second Language Academy where in addition to the core curriculum, they will learn Spanish as a second language allowing them an enrichment opportunity that will strengthen their academic preparedness for middle and high school. Students will also be exposed to a variety of other languages and cultures within the Dulles school community to broaden their cultural understanding as young citizens in our multicultural society. It is our belief that providing an early opportunity for our children to learn Spanish through our Second Language Academy will increase their potential for success.
School spirit and pride are encouraged in a variety of ways. Every Friday morning we hold an Academic Spirit Rally. Students and staff wear our Dulles T-shirts and/or spirit theme attire. We gather together where we recite the Pledge of Allegiance to Our Flag, celebrate the achievements of our students, and finish strong with our Dolphin Dynamo chant as inspiration because each and every week, our Learners are, indeed, one week smarter!
Parent involvement is key to our school's success and we have amazing parental support and involvement. We encourage our parents to become team members in their children's education and welcome them on our campus to volunteer in our classrooms, become active members of our PTA, and attend all activities sponsored by the Dulles community. In addition, our PTA continues to enrich our school by supporting engaging activities and academic support through our Meet the Masters Art Program, Math Facts, Spelling Bee, assemblies and a variety of age appropriate Field Study Trips throughout the year.
Please remember that when we believe in children, the possibilities are endless and when we work together, we can make a difference!

Learning Begins at 8:15
Did you know…that instruction begins at 8:15 am? This means that children should be at school and in their seats ready to learn at 8:15 am. In order to accomplish this we will be ringing a warning bell at 8:10 to signal children to go to their room lines.
